Doshii and Menulog partner to integrate thousands of Australian hospitality venues at point-of-sale
Melbourne, Australia, April 2017 – Middleware API platform Doshii has announced a partnership with Australia’s largest online food ordering and delivery platform, Menulog.
Through this partnership, Doshii will be able to integrate the Menulog service into any POS on the Doshii API platform, meaning the Menulog ordering process will be even simpler for any hospitality venue that uses a Doshii integrated POS, such as Impos, H&L or Starrtec.
With more than 8,600 restaurant partners across Australia, Menulog’s new venture with Doshii will help improve restaurant operations and efficiency.
Menulog’s Head of Product, Joseph Larcher, said: “Providing a seamless experience for both our restaurant partners and consumers is our highest priority. This new partnership with Doshii will make it even easier for us to do this.
For restaurants, Doshii integration will mean we can send orders directly to multiple POS systems, cutting down significantly on admin time for restaurant owners and staff. Not only does this mean less time spent on processing orders, but also elimination of errors for manually entering orders, which of course is also a benefit to customers.
The partnership also means we can ultimately provide a greater choice for consumers, with the ability to seamlessly integrate with a greater number of POS systems used by a range of existing and potential restaurant partners across Australia.”
Menulog currently offers Australians a choice of more than 130 different cuisines through its ever-growing network of 8,600+ restaurants. Through the Menulog app or menulog.com.au, customers can easily order whatever they feel like for pick up or home delivery at the touch of a button.
With unparalleled reach across the country, Menulog delivers to more than 85 percent of Australians and is the only platform to feature customer reviews, offer loyalty discounts and rewards and a Best Price Guarantee.
For the POS on the Doshii network, this integration delivers a real boost. As DPOS Director Luke Payne explains, ‘We know from talking with our stores how the growth of online ordering is changing the way stores service their customers. As customers change their ordering behaviour it is vital that the stores change accordingly to ensure customer satisfaction.
“With the Dpos-Menulog integration via Doshii, bringing the systems together takes out all the hassle for restaurant owners while enabling them to reap all the rewards!”
According to Doshii General Manager David Engel, “the Menulog partnership is what Doshii-integrated POS have been asking for from the beginning. Menulog is the clear market leader in the online ordering space and so this exciting integration gives POS on the Doshii network a real edge over their competitors.’
Through Doshii’s recent global agreement with leading U.S. POS API Platform Omnivore, they will soon deliver the Menulog integration into the two of the largest global POS, Micros and NCR Aloha.
According to Engel, this will allow ‘some of the biggest hospitality brands in Australia to integrate their POS into Menulog and any other app on the Doshii platform.’ The Menulog and Omnivore agreements ‘are the beginning of Doshii being able to impact the hospitality industry at scale.’
